יְבָמָהf. (b. h.; v. יָבָם sister-in-law, esp. ybamah, the widow of a brother who died without issue. Yeb.IV, 10 הי׳ לאוכ׳ a widow must be neither discharged nor married before three months after her husbands death, lb, 1 החולץ לִיבֶמְתּוֹ he who discharges his sister-in-law.
